PRESERVING THE ‘NOT SO OLD’ TO REUSE AGAIN

CLIENT: GRAVEL HILL UMC NEW ADDITION

When the Gravel Hill United Methodist Church experienced a devastating fire, the stained glass windows were able to be preserved and restored for use in the beautiful new, larger building.  The growing congregation, soon requested an addition for a fellowship welcome center, complete with coffee café and seating for mingling both before and after services.  In addition, the member vehicle drop off was in need of renovation. The challenge, was to reuse the original protective canopy.  Care was taken to remove the canopy and store it for its final re-attachment to the front of the church.

THE RESULT:  A beautiful welcome center and meeting area and a safer drop off location for the older members of the congregation.
